Beautiful music... filled with so much nostalgic, with such longing for things not realized in the past.

Handel pulled out all the stops (maybe literally?) on this one. One gorgeous melody ends and you have just enough time to catch your breath before the next gorgeous melody begins. The singing is sensitive and at times heart-breaking. If only history had been as good as Handel makes it sound!

Vivaldi out here playing rock sax on a bloody bassoon centuries before his time.

Podría pasarme horas enteras escuchando esta música admirable sin fatiga. Hubo un tiempo en que se producía tal música. Hoy día somos afortunados de poder pasar horas escuchando música maravillosa de otras épocas, porque lo que se produce actualmente no es digno de consideración.

Amici della musica salve a tutti ,l'estate ormai e' quasi alle porte ,ci saranno ancora giornate piacevoli tuttavia il tempo e' un po' ballerino ,tornando al menù ,Handel compositore regale con saldi principi compositivi , piu coi piedi per terra rispetto a Bach che fino alla sua scomparsa non si accontentava mai ,sempre costantemente alla ricerca di cose nuove ,Handel e i suoi concerti grossi ,musica regale ,raffinata ,tuttavia data l'importanza del compositore e il suo stile mi aspettavo qualcosa di più ,in quanto all'organo non ha voluto come dire darsi e darci maggiore soddisfazione e i concerti per organo carini e orecchiabili sono un esempio di quanto detto poc'anzi , Bach si e' spinto andando oltre e ci e' riuscito ,Handel comunque ci ha regalato un patrimonio comunque sia andato .
